1:1 Technology Rollout - One of the objectives developed for Goal 1: Student Success in the District 13 Strategic Plan is the expansion of student access to technology and its use in the classroom. Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, students in grades 1-8 will be issued a Chromebook, and the kindergarten classrooms will be given Google Android tablets for students to use during the school day. District 13’s Virtual Backpack -
School District 13 is using a Virtual
Backpack for distributing information to parents. The Virtual
Backpack is helping us “go green” by allowing approved
non-profit community organizations to post flyers online instead
of making and distributing hundreds of paper copies. Doing so will
also save the district and community members a tremendous amount
of time and money.

Late Bus Information - District
13 has a late bus that runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,
beginning the second week of school. It arrives for pick up at Erickson
at 4:35, at DuJardin at 4:50, and at Westfield at 5:05. This one
bus covers most of the district bus territory, makes fewer stops,
and can take an hour or more to complete its run, depending on the
number of students. The late bus service is only available for regular
